IBS and KBIS 2019

We were fortunate to send some of our team members to IBS (International Builders’ Show) and KBIS (Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) in Las Vegas last week. These trade shows co-locate together which results in the world’s largest gathering for industry professionals each year. Over 1,700 exhibitors’ setup to show off their fresh ideas, products, and technologies to design, build and remodel homes with.

During the week, our team attended numerous cutting-edge education sessions that focused on topics like: product trends and innovations, millennial buyers, 55+ buyers, floor plan solutions, design decisions, customer service, and scheduling. After long days of education sessions, our team attended networking events where they were able to build new connections and also connect face-to-face with current suppliers.

Now that our team members are back, we’re excited to implement some fresh ideas into our spec and custom homes, our upcoming developments and in our office and field. Check out some of the trends we spotted and learned about while there!

Design Trends:

  • Grey isn’t going anywhere for awhile
  • Say “yes” to more color
  • Continual rise in contemporary design
  • Front porches on homes are trending
  • Tiled walls as a design feature
  • Pocket offices off kitchens
  • Areas designated for pets

Kimberley Development quality of craftsmanship is what sets them apart

We had an exceptional experience building with Kimberley Development Corporation. Bill, Jenna, and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and responsive. Their quality of craftsmanship is what sets them apart. Its obvious why Kimberley Development is considered the best builder in central Iowa.
